The guidance and recruitment team are looking for enthusiastic level 3 or 4 students to be a part of our Student Ambassador scheme. The Student Ambassador scheme is primarily aimed at University students who share a passion for the University and feel able to share their knowledge with prospective students, parents and teachers.

Student ambassadors can raise the profile of a course among applicants and aid recruitment. Feedback from Open days has suggested that student ambassadors have been instrumental in applicants’ decisions to apply to the University of Gloucestershire.

Not only does the scheme help with applicants’ decision making but provides the student ambassadors with transferable skills that may compliment their studies.

Our student ambassadors are available for members of staff to book to help with events across the university that are deemed to promote the University of Gloucestershire. Most recently some of the student ambassadors participated in the University’s 10 year anniversary celebration and featured in the local Echo newspaper.

We would strongly advise that if you would like to ensure that your course is well represented by the scheme you should either pass this information to any lecture groups or students who you feel would benefit from becoming a student ambassador or contact the guidance and recruitment team who would be pleased to come and talk to a cohort at the beginning or end of one of your lectures for 5 to 10 minutes.

The closing date for applications is Thursday 9th February 2012.

For more information please contact Vikki on by calling 01242 714833.

We are working with a client (Active Gloucestershire), making some films for their website. They also want some web design work. The University of Gloucester is looking for skilled graduates or 3rd year students who would be willing to get paid as a consultant for the web development work for now and in the future.
